Kirsti Petraborg – Teacher
At her teaching studios in the Twin Cities area, Kirsti guides students as they develop technique and learn to express themselves through music. As a member of Lux Quartet she has interacted with hundreds of students as part of Minnesota Public Radio ClassNotes Artist residency program. In recent summers Kirsti has traveled to teach at the Colorado Chamber Music Institute. Kirsti has been an adjunct faculty member at Luther College as well as Southwest Minnesota State University. She has also taught at Lutheran Summer Music Festival and the Southwest Minnesota String Festival
Energetic about sharing her love of the viola with others, Kirsti is currently on the board of the Minnesota Viola Society. She co-founded the organization 2011 and served as its first president. She received her doctoral degree in Viola Performance at the University of Minnesota, where she also earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees.
